Queen's Park Singers now offer choral scholarships, open to aspiring young singers aged 18 to 30, or those in full or part-time music education, who are keen to develop their ensemble skills and contribute to the choir's growth.
We are delighted to welcome our first scholars, Sancia Czecilia Divina (soprano) and Naveen Kanamarlapudi (tenor), who have already started working with us and are providing valuable support in their respective sections.
Sancia Czecilia Divina is a 21-year-old soprano currently studying at the Royal College Of Music. She has a Bachelor of Arts from Vels University, Chennai, India.
She is a versatile western classical vocalist, who also plays a host of musical instruments. In fact she has already passed 40 exams from Trinity College of Music London and Rock School in voice, theory of music, guitar, ukulele, keyboard, piano, violin and drums with merits and distinctions.
Sancia completed LTCL and ATCL diplomas with distinction in western vocals, and Grade 8 in Theory of Music under Augustine Paul. She is a Grade 8 drummer under the tutelage of Dinesh George of Galilee Academy. She also studied History of Music with Karl Lutchmayer.
She was soloist in the Madras Musical Association choir and a violinist in the MMA symphony orchestra. Sancia was a part of the Chromatics, an ensemble specializing in opera arias and art songs, helmed by Augustine Paul.
She has also done several vocal backing recordings in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and solo opera excerpts in film recordings with Yuvan Shankar Raja, A.R Rahaman and Thaman S.
Sancia is currently a student of Patricia Rozario, OBE and has been working with her in London, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai and Bangalore. She has also won the title “Conbrio Hall of Fame 2023-First Runner up” in voice.
Naveen Kanamarlapudi is a tenor from Swansea, pursuing third-year undergraduate Vocal Studies at Trinity Laban, taught by Lynton Atkinson. He enjoys singing with various choirs and performing in opera productions throughout London.
Notable performances include the Last Night of Proms with the BBC Symphony Chorus, D-Day 80 commemorations at the British Normandy Memorial as a scholar of London Youth Choir 23/24 and the Coronation of Charles III and Camilla as an Only Boys Aloud member.
He has contributed to opera productions as a chorus member for Puccini's Turandot, Tosca and Mozart’s Magic Flute. Naveen is one of nine young singers selected for the 2025 Glyndebourne Academy. Also he contributes to Old Royal Naval College Chapel Services and was recently selected for the Philharmonia Chorus Student Scheme.
His recent solo recital includes Mozart's Un'aura amorosa at the Black British Classical Foundation Summer Concert.
- A choir for junior singers

Does your child love to sing? Queen’s Park Junior Singers are a local junior choir for singers from school Years 5-9. The choir provides an exciting opportunity to sing a wide range of music with different ensembles, make musicianship and music skills and connect with the local community of music makers. In this workshop, we will learn some fun warm-up songs, musical games and sing some fun repertoire to give a taster of what the choir will offer going forward. Come along and try us out at one of our Saturday morning rehearsals:
18th October11:00-12:30 at St Anne's Church, Salusbury Road. There is no need to sign up for the workshop, just come along and sing!

Queen's Park Singers are offering two choral scholarships, one for a soprano, one for a tenor, open to aspiring young singers aged 18 to 30, or those in full or part-time music education, who are keen to develop their ensemble skills and contribute to the choir's growth.
We're loo
king for confident vocal and musical support at our Sunday evening rehearsals (6:20-9pm during term time). Scholars will also be expected to attend three to four concerts a year and actively participate in other choir activities, which may include singing solos, leading sectionals, social media promotion, or helping implement our Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion policy.
Each scholarship offers a stipend of £1200 per year, with the possibility of extension for a second year.
Auditions & Application
Auditions will be held on 21 & 28 September 2025.

To a large and appreciative audience, members of Queen's Park Singers sang carols in the park on Saturday 14th, to celebrate the turning on of Christmas tree lights. A grand occasion which we hope will become a fixture in the local calendar!
- Harpist Rosanna Rolton joins us for Our Winter Concert 1st December

For our concert on 1st December we were delighted to be joined by harpist Rosanna Rolton. She will accompany us in Benjamin Britten's Ceremony of Carols , as well as performing works for solo harp by Lili Boulanger and Claude Debussy.

Members of Queen's Park Singers performed in the West Chapel in Paddington Old Cemetery 0n 22nd September as part of the Cemetery Open Day. The Council required us to wear hard hats, owing to the state of repair of the chapel. Very fetching - we might make them part of our uniform in future!
