Queen's Park Singers are offering two choral scholarships, one for a soprano, one for a tenor, open to aspiring young singers aged 18 to 30, or those in full or part-time music education, who are keen to develop their ensemble skills and contribute to the choir's growth. To a large and appreciative audience, members of Queen's Park Singers sang carols in the park on Saturday 14th, to celebrate the turning on of Christmas tree lights. A grand occasion which we hope will become a fixture in the local calendar!![]() |
For our concert on 1st December we were delighted to be joined by harpist Rosanna Rolton. She will accompany us in Benjamin Britten's Ceremony of Carols , as well as performing works for solo harp by Lili Boulanger and Claude Debussy. |
Members of Queen's Park Singers performed in the West Chapel in Paddington Old Cemetery 0n 22nd September as part of the Cemetery Open Day. The Council required us to wear hard hats, owing to the state of repair of the chapel. Very fetching - we might make them part of our uniform in future! |
